Hi, I am Sushil Dhokne, a certified Personal Trainer and Sports Nutritionist. My fitness journey began 10 years back when I cleared my SSC boards and joined a gym because someone told my father that I should start working out. Back then, majority of my knowledge came from YouTube and... guess it... yes, gym bros. Eventually I fell in LOVE with strength training and developed an instinct towards teaching which led to my certifications.
My understanding of the human body, general physiology, evolution and logic has brought me to a realization that there has been a huge shift in the way we live our lives, starting from our diet, our methods of acquiring food, level of physical activity, type of physical activity, spirituality etc. I learnt that the best way to achieve mental, physical and metabolic health is to go back to the way humans are supposed to eat, move and live our lives. My intention with this blog and company is to share the methods I learnt after having tried them on myself, my family and my clients which led them to achieve fat loss, gain muscle, improve physical and mental performance and overall the best health they have had in a long time. Some dropped excess weight, improved energy levels, improved sleep apnea and snoring, allergies, asthma and depression whereas some went off their diabetes, gout and pain medications. Female clients with thyroid and PCOS started had their problems cured.
My blogs are going to be about nutrition, strength and functional training, mental health and prevention of many 'modern diseases' ( modern because many of these diseases/disorders are as recent as a few centuries old) with scientific, evolutionary and logical evidence. Yes. All 3 perspectives of why you should consider the change for the longest, happiest and healthiest life possible for you and your future generations (oops! there's a hint at how deep some blogs will go). Yes, your lifestyle will affect your future generations.
This blog is for anyone who is looking to improve their health, achieve better physical and mental performance, and prevent/cure metabolic diseases like diabetes, insulin resistance, PCOS, thyroid issues, arthritis/gout and allergies. It's for anyone looking to lose excess fat, gain muscle and strength and wants to be physically fit. It's for the middle aged man with a seated job or a young girl trying to improve her sports performance. It's for the 60 year olds preparing for a peaceful life ahead and a 20 year old health conscious college student trying to look good physically. My blog is indeed for a curious mind. My blog is for YOU.
My goal with this blog is to reach out and educate as many people as I can and provide professional help in changing their lifestyle.
